HW: Read & write a poem a day/ iReady 26 lessons

I made my way up from room 109 hauling all of the things I'd carried down for fifth period. My sixth period students came into class, sat down, and took out our binder reminders to write the agenda down. 

Alriel read her blog, and then she picked me. 

After that, we read a poem called "I'm Going Back to Minnesota Where Sadness Make Sense" by Danez Smith. We talked about the ways the mood and weather are connected and the colloquial language in the poem. 

We wrote it down as our lines for this week and recorded it as a poem read. 

Then, we wrote a poem for Day 23 of NaPoWriMo.  We worked on revising poems, and then, we packed up and left for a bonus day off!
