Today we started off the day with listening to our take a minute of the day as we wrote down our agendas. Once we were done Ms. Nakada called up Scarlett so that she could read her blog from yesterday. After Scarlett was done she asked to make a wheel to pick who would go up next. She added ten Kevens, five Scarletts, and three of me. I sadly got chosen to do to the blog next. After I was picked Ms. Nakada told us to get into our lit. groups. Once we were done with our lit. circles Ms. Nakada told us to go back to our seats. Once everyone was in their seat Ms. Nakada told us to turn to our GQ.Q.L pages to go over out lines. The lines were, "Hanging Fire" by Audre Lorde. The poem was about a fourteen year old who is growing up and going through her adolescent life. Once we were done with talking about the poem Ms. Nakada told us to get packed up. Once we were done packing up we waited for the bell to ring, so that we could go home.

We started off 6th period with a Take a Minute video and writing the agenda down in our binder reminders. Because Kaela wasn't here, Ms. Nakada read the blog for us, and we made corrections. For today's blog, Kaela picked me. Then, Ms. Nakada told us to get into our literature circles. Once our time was up, we transitioned into our week 4: G.Q.Q.L. We watched a video of our quote for the week: "Because being American is more than a pride we inherit -- It's a past we step into, and how we repair it"-Amanda Gorman. After we watched and discussed the video, we asked ourselves: whose shoulders do I stand on, and what do I stand for? Lastly, we glued our lines in our notebooks, and got ready to be dismissed to go home.

We started off English class by watching the video on the screen that was about fear . Everyone discussed certain fears in the world. After that, Richard read his blog and then we corrected it. After correcting Richards blog, Ms. Nakada put up a wheel with all of the students names. I was chosen to do the blog. Then, Ms. Nakada told the class to get into their literature Circles so that we can read our books. After fifteen minutes of reading in our literature circles, we were told to pack up.  Everyone packed up, put up their chairs, and we all left.

I.O. and B.A.

We started the day by doing take a minute and writing down the agenda listed above. After, we read Will's blog and he spun a wheel in which my name was the result. Once that was done, we all got into non-circular literature circles. We chose roles for these non-circular circles and started reading. The book that was read in my circle was The Book Thief. After we finished reading, we summarized what we read. Once we were finished, we decided what page to read to on our own and set up our reading journals. We went back to our seats shortly after. Once we finished going back to our seats, we did our Week 4: G.Q.Q.L.

Grammar: character, characterization, character traits

Quote: "Because being American is more than a pride we inherit-- it's a past we step into and how we repair it." Amanda Gorman

This was the end of our day, therefore we put up our chairs and packed up shortly after.

Homework: WEEKEND!

We started class like we always do, take a minute, and the blog corrections and the rest of the rigamarole. I got picked via the wheel Deshon made; I was not unhappy getting picked, so I made light of it and dismissed the feelings attached. Ms. Nakada began to explain the new long term project we would be doing: Literature Circles. After that, she explained the gist of some of the books, and some of the authors. A short while later, she began to check Reading Journals and Binder Reminders. Afterwards we did the test for a while. Once we had finished the test, we put our chairs up and packed up. In a matter of seconds after, the bell rang and we left.
